Our discipline

Most ventilation fails not at the unit, but in the ducting — in tight bends, leaky joints and routes that were never calculated. We treat the duct network as the engineered backbone of the system, sized and drawn before a single fixing is placed.

A premium ventilation system is a quiet one. Quietness is a by-product of low resistance — and low resistance is designed, never improvised.

That is why every AERIS project begins on the drawing board: room-by-room flow rates, pressure-loss modelling and a fully detailed rigid-duct layout. By the time materials arrive on site, the outcome is already known.

The result is filtered, tempered fresh air in every habitable room, near-silent operation, and documented compliance you can hand to a building inspector with confidence.

The drawing, alive

Scroll — and the system breathes.

The engagement

Four stages,
one accountable team.

No hand-offs, no finger-pointing between designer, installer and commissioner. We own the system from the first analysis to the final measured airflow certificate.

Design & Analysis

HEAT-LOSS CALCSCAD LAYOUTSPART F
The foundation stage. We survey the property, calculate required ventilation rates and produce full technical drawings of the rigid-duct network before any quotation is fixed.
  • Room-by-room extract & supply flow-rate schedule
  • Pressure-loss & acoustic modelling of every duct run
  • Coordinated CAD drawings & full project documentation
02

Ductwork Supply & Install

DOMUSGREENMILLRIGID RECTANGULAR
We supply and install rigid rectangular ducting — not crushable flexible hose — routed along the low-resistance paths defined in the design stage and sealed for an airtight network.
  • Genuine Domus & Greenmill rectangular duct & fittings
  • Sealed, gasketed joints for measured airtightness
  • Acoustic & condensation control on every run
03

MVHR Installation

UNIT SIZINGHEAT RECOVERYFILTRATION
The heat-recovery unit is selected to match the calculated airflow, then installed, insulated and connected so it performs to specification — quietly and efficiently.
  • Correctly sized unit for the building's demand
  • Insulated condensate & intake/exhaust routing
  • F7-grade filtration for clean incoming air
04

Commissioning & Balancing

AIRFLOW BALANCEMEASUREDCERTIFIED
A system is only finished when it is proven. We commission, balance and measure every valve, then hand over a full set of documented airflow results.
  • Each terminal balanced to its design flow rate
  • Anemometer-measured commissioning certificate
  • Homeowner handover, O&M manual & filter schedule

Why heat recovery

Fresh air that
keeps its warmth.

MVHR continuously replaces stale, humid indoor air with filtered fresh air — while a heat exchanger keeps the warmth you have already paid for inside the building.

How we price

Transparent on
what drives cost.

Every system is bespoke, so we scope before we quote. Four factors shape the figure — and we fix the scope before any work begins.

Dwelling size

Number of habitable rooms and wet rooms sets the airflow demand and duct run length.

New build vs retrofit

Retrofits need more design effort to route rigid duct through existing voids and ceilings.

Certification target

Passivhaus or low-energy targets raise the bar on airtightness, modelling and verification.

Duct routing complexity

Constrained routes and acoustic requirements add fittings, labour and design time.

Good questions

Answered
plainly.

If your question isn't here, our engineers are happy to talk it through before you commit to anything.

MVHR — Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery — continuously extracts stale air from wet rooms and supplies filtered fresh air to living spaces, recovering up to 90% of the heat in the process. In airtight new builds and deep retrofits it's often required to satisfy Building Regulations Part F, and it's the most comfortable way to ventilate a well-insulated home without losing heat through open windows.
Flexible hose sags, kinks and crushes — every imperfection adds resistance and noise, and starves rooms of their design airflow. Rigid rectangular duct from Domus and Greenmill holds its cross-section permanently, follows the engineered route, and delivers the calculated flow rate quietly for the life of the system. It is the single biggest factor in whether a ventilation system performs as promised.
Because the outcome is decided on paper. By calculating room-by-room flow rates and modelling pressure loss before installation, we size the unit correctly, choose low-resistance duct routes, and guarantee the system can be balanced to specification. Skipping this stage is the most common reason ventilation systems end up noisy, ineffective or non-compliant.
Both. New builds give us the cleanest duct routes, but we regularly design and install ventilation in renovations and retrofits, working within existing voids and ceilings. The PAS 2035 framework guides our retrofit approach, and the design stage is where we resolve the practical routing challenges before work begins.
A fully balanced system and the paperwork to prove it: measured airflow readings at every terminal, a commissioning certificate, an operation & maintenance manual, and a filter-service schedule. It's documentation you can hand directly to a building inspector or keep for warranty and resale.
